The Sandwich Fair, one of the oldest agricultural country fairs in New Hampshire is held every Columbus Day weekend.  During one of the most beautiful times of the year, at the height of the fall foliage season, our old time fair provides fun and entertainment for all ages and families.  Come join the festivities and experience traditional horse and oxen pulling, 4-H animal competitions and many other exhibits.

There are crafts to see and demonstrated.  Sit awhile and enjoy the stage show which has entertainment all the time being performed.

During our three day fair you can enjoy traditional fair food, play some games or let the kids enjoy a ride on the Ferris Wheel and some of the other many rides to choose from.  On Sunday, the Grand Street Parade has many floats and bands to see along with the animals in their fine attire.  Don’t forget the Antique Auto Show on Saturday or the Antique Tractor pulling competitions on Saturday and Sunday.

For more information call the office at (603) 284-7062 Tuesdays or Thursdays, 9am - 2pm or visit our website - www.thesandwichfair.com.  See you at the fair!!

Founded nearly a century year ago, the Sandwich Historical Society has been located in the Elisha Marston House at 4 Maple Street since 1927. From its humble beginnings exhibiting a collection of tools, herbs, and weaving, the Society has grown to house genealogical records and archives, a wide ranging exhibit of locally historic tools and furnishings, and has added the Lower Corner School House, Grange Hall, and Quimby Barn to its roster of historic structures. The newly moved and restored Quimby Barn now houses a remarkable variety of horse drawn carriages and the Sandwich Concord Coach.

Our summer season museum and tour hours are 10 - 4, Wednesday through Saturday, from June 22 through September 28, and our library and archives are available for research by appointment. We are available for research during winter hours by appointment as well, 10 - 4, Tuesday through Thursday.

Please visit us online for more information and access to our online museum store. Visit us in person this summer and tour our seasonal exhibit celebrating Sandwich’s sestercentennial: "People, Places, and Spaces: 250 years in Sandwich"--we look forward to seeing you!
