4/30/2021

Columbus Day-Weekend Tradition Returns
Picture
The Sandwich Fair is a 110 year old New Hampshire tradition.
April 30, 2021, Sandwich, NH – Set amongst the fall foliage and overlooking the picturesque Sandwich Mountain range, the Sandwich Fair will resume operations for the 2021 Columbus Day holiday.

Now in its 110th year, the three-day fair will run from Saturday, October 9th through Monday, October 11. Fair highlights include thrilling rides and midway concessions, music and entertainment, agricultural exhibits, crafts, parades, and delicious food. Events over the three days will include parades, Children’s Day on Saturday, and Family Day on Sunday. Monday is Senior Citizen/4H Day, with free admission for active or retired military.

“The Sandwich Fair brings town, county, state and regional visitors to our beautiful, mountain venue over the three-day, holiday weekend,” said Dan Peaslee, President of the Sandwich Fair Association. “Our Board of Directors is pleased to support the fair’s 2021 reopening.”

The Sandwich Fair is one of the longest running agricultural fairs in New Hampshire. It draws thousands of visitors from around New England for the Columbus Day weekend event. Plenty of free and paid parking around the historic small-town makes the Sandwich Fair an easily accessible, fall-foliage adventure to plan for.

Jon Greenawalt, of Personal Mastery Programs, writes: Those who visit Sandwich, NH, often find themselves planning to return. Some even return here to live. What makes Sandwich such a prized destination? An invigorating atmosphere, friendly people and quiet streets. Clear waters and scenic views in the White Mountains. Plenty to see and do embedded in the vibrant spirit of an historic New England town. I am grateful to be part of this exceptional community.

Grateful thanks to the Alfred Quimby Fund, the Town of Sandwich and Wedco for their support.
